Interrupt a command sent to the drone

Hi,
I am new here. Working on a project using Tello.

I am wondering how a command sent to the drone can be interrupted.

Let say i send a move_forward(100) and before it reaches the target i want to send a new command to turn, go backwards or whatever that interrupts the move_forward.
Is this possible?

I think, it cannot be interrupted.

But you can use the rc command in a closed loop. If you are flying above a flight map, you can check the coordinates and stop movement at any time.
