So I took apart a headlamp I wasn't using and jacked one of the LED lights out of it. It's nearly weightless. I wired it directly to the battery /battery connectors and it worked just fine. I attached it to the body with some low end double sides tape. My only problem is the light stays on all the time, Unless the battery is 100% dead the light stays on. So my question is, what is required to make it so the light shuts off when the Tello is powered down. 20180919_091215.jpg20180919_091210.jpg

A great idea DLR. I think that the light/s needs to be able to light up the area for the front facing camera and the three bottom facing sensors.
As for powering on the light when you power on the tello, that is a bit trickier. You would need to find a place on the main circuit board that gets power after you press the power button on the side of the chassis.
Im working on pulling apart my tello - once I have access to the pcb I will see what I can find out.

Cheers,
ph2t.
