Why tello will not hover at the same height if it loses vps signal or data.
Tello has an altimeter right?
It can hover at about same height although vps is not available but it just starts landing.
Is it a firmware limit?

Fw limit. They call it failsafe protection by forcing landing if u have no active vps over 6m from takeoff point. Cannot be cancelled until it is less than 6m or vps becomes active which them it automatically halts landing. It doesn’t really land either, just hover 30cm above a solid surface.

So if this failsafe is removed then tello can hover at the same height?
Does it has a reliable barometer?

It is in the firmware, you can only tell ryze you would like it removed. The altimeter you mentioned is barometer. As far as I can see it is ok accurate.

Are those infared sensors underneath it like Breeze and many others.
