Tello motor lifespan

Indeed, my stock Tello has motors with 2 vent holes. Are you able to correlate the difference on a time line? I suspect they just have varying inventory, but it'd be useful to know if they made an informed switch to one or the other. More ventilation is probably better, at the cost of having a greater potential for contaminates.

no. #1 has 2 holes, #2 has 4 holes, #3 & #4 & #5 came in one batch but also have different motors

The ad for motors mentions factory life time hours as 5~6 hours (factory motors). In reality that may be very conservative. In my experience (electronics industry) it's not unusual to have actual life test results that are 3 or 4 times longer and get those result under worse case conditions (highest allowable ambient temperature). Factor in operation a "normal" operating temperatures and you might see and additional 2 or 3 time increase in life that would line up with the 40 hours mentioned by someone else.
