Xiaomi antenna extension?

Has anyone messed with the antenna on the xaiomi repeater after taking it apart it seem fairly simple and could possibly be improved for example bluetooth antennas are usually more intricate in design and cover more area. I was thinking of making an adapter and putting a small TV or uhf or rf type antenna or a simple coil of copper and soldering it on. Any opinions? Suggestions?

Hello, I soldered two external antennas to the Xiaomi 2 repeater and it worked very well, now I have security when flying with DJITello. The next experiment will be to increase DJITello's own antenna. Hope this helps.
