Don't know about range with wifi repeater, but there is a separate app called Tals on Play Store to change height up to 100ft. Couldn't get my repeater to connect since they did an upgrade

You should be able to go to max height (30m+) easily. Distance depends on interference etc. There are records out there over 700 meters distance. 300-400 meters with good video reception is my max usually. You can go much further with the drone facing the repeater as the antennas in tello are slightly directional.

I have seen videos that I am sure are valid with 1400m with a Xiaomi and a windsurfer-style reflector made of a beercan.. There is also one doing 1600m that looks valid but I am not 100% sure.

But: I have seen another video by the same user doing almost 2000m and that looked dodgy so not sure the others were truly valid.

Some people are just nuts.

Hi. This device works great, also you can add the signal booster to increase and get more stable the video signal.
Attach how to link it and the antenna booster. Regards

I think the one I threw away was the first version. Maybe I'll try the version 2 if you guys say it works great! Thanks

Hi, I saw a video (Italian) that for some time xiaomi wifi extender2 has stopped working with Android (if configured for the first time) since the app changed its name from Mi Home to Xiaomi Home, but you have to download and use a previous version of the app Mi Home v. 5.4.60 I don't know if this is the real problem or not, but try it. All versions of this app are available online. in apk

Yes, the version 2 has better speed and better coverage

I set mine up on an iPad in 5 minutes, once done you can delete the app. 30m vertical is no problem for the signal strength.

remember to take any symbols out of your Tellos WiFi name and set the password to 00000000 and it’s all good.
