Calls to "Set Video Bitrate" being ignored

It seems that when I send a command to set the video bitrate with an 0x20 (32) message the Tello always responds by echoing the command with a setting of zero (i.e. Auto bitrate) whatever I try to set it to.

Subsequent calls to get the video bitrate with an 0x28 (40) message also always return zero.

Is there some sequence of events that needs to be observed?

Any thoughts on this anyone?

I've tried setting the rate before and after starting the video stream, all to no effect.

I am pretty sure it works in aTello. The actual video rate is calculated and displayed in tiny print in the lower right.

Hmm... Yes - setting it clearly works in aTello, and I think it's working for me. It seems to be the GetVideoBitrate (0x0028) that is not behaving as expected - it always returns two bytes of zeroes.
