Hi everyone,

I am new here and I am excited to be part of this community! I am working on a drone project and I am facing an issue. The ultimate goal of the drones is to have them flying autonomously. I read on Tello's website that the Tello EDU drones have a collision avoidance function built into them but I can't seem to find it anywhere.. :( Is there somewhere that I should be looking into but didn't? Any help is appreciated!!

BR,
Calvin

Welcome @CT0402

The Tello doesn't have true collision avoidance when it encounters obstacles like the larger birds. Not sure where that's referenced and in what sense but perhaps downward avoidance as Tello only has IR sensors/camera on the belly.

There is collision detection, as the IMU would shut the motors down if the Tello encounters a hard knock.
