Game Sir to Phone via OTG

Has anyone tried to connect their Game Sir to their phone via a micro to micro m/m OTG cable rather than using Bluetooth?

Any update on this? haven't found a video showing a Tello controller connected via otg cable with a phone.

I tried it on my Samsung S8+ yesterday. I am using a GameSir T1s with the another Tello Pilot app. Works great
