New here and to droning about 6 months I find that it is a good expensive hobby i enjoy the modding and beating my own records. Took my tello out to about 450meters on second outdoor flight my goal is to get to a mile. But as I have learned a little help goes a long way so hears my first question has anyone stacked two tello batteries to make one for more flight time???

Tello's theoretical range in windless condition is about 4800m (10minutes @ 8m/s), maybe more on a brand new battery. So more than the usual mile

So unless you are referring to a "Preussische Meile" (about 7.5km) the battery should be OK for that distance.

But to do this with acceptable reliability a standard wifi extender, even with reflector, is just not enough.

Are you the same person who made the tello fpv app.

So this happened today and it works got signal in places where there was no signal. And wifi stayed strong no bars dropped , just have to test it outdoors. Used an old antenna and WiFi repeater. Which I modified for SMA connections I call it 2.0. My 1.0 version consisted of a xiaomi repeater a can and yagi antenna.

Question every one this is my xiaomi repeater it doesn’t have the pads at the back like I see others on here modded for antennas but it does have a little port on it looks like an ufl port does anyone know if it’s for testing or an antenna port? If so what size I have tried all the connectors I have an none of those work. Excuse my finger nails I used dull nail clippers.?

Yes that is me.

In terms of ufl connector I guess it's for debugging as the xiaomi should be a 2 antenna mimo device.

If i wanted to go on such a mission i would get some pro grade WiFi repeater with directional mimo antenna. Ubiquity has nice stuff

Or to hack it cheaply but reliably: 80cm offset sat dishes should do the trick. In Aluminium weights nothing, and free from scrap yard

Wow nice to meet you, and thank you for the advice. Wow I’m about to go tell the kids I was chatting with the person who made the tello app.?

Hello how are you doing today? I have a question to ask if you don’t mind? Is there anyway the tello can go over 30 meters high I’m asking because I have a lot of trees were I’m located and it’s just for experimental purposes. I also use the tello to measure the height of certain objects.
