Hi, I currently have a RMTT expansion kit and need to connect both a lidar and a motor to it. I'm planning on powering both using a 3.3 V battery. The problem is that I have no idea how I would connect these components to the breakout board. How do I attach the battery, lidar and motor to the expansion kit without using an external Arduino or breadboard? How do I interface the lidar and motor with the expansion kit so that I can read data and control the motors? I am very lost on how to use the RMTT kit. I know my question is very basic and I am sorry. I just started off and don't know where to go from here.

It depends on the particular LiDAR that you want to attach. Most of them use a serial interface, some use SPI or I2C. Beside that, you'll need libraries for that type of LiDAR that can be compiled for usage with ESP32.

What task should the motor fullfill? You'll need also a driver for that motor. All this will put extra weight on little Tello. Sounds like you'll overload it.
