Is the picture quality dependant on the receiving device?

Hi

I notice that pictures and video are much better on my tablet compared to my phone.

Does anyone know if saved videos and pictures are dependant on the resolution of the receiving device?

I am new to Drones and have ordered a wifi extender, will this have an influence on the quality of images?

Any help appreciated.

I am surprised that you are seeing the pictures are different on your two devices. I thought the still images were 5 megapixel whatever your receiving device. I have only ever used my iPhone to control Tello and I have always been delighted with the quality of the still pictures.
With video, however, I initially got a lot of frame drops, making the video unpleasant to watch. I now always use a wifi repeater (even for very close flying) and I have next to no frame drops. I think turning on airplane mode also helps the video feed to stay smooth.
