Prop-guards or not?

Hi all just a quick question, Do you guys use your prop - guards when you fly your Tello?

I find the footage is a lot smoother without the prop guards than with, I will most likely use them in tight spaces but apart from that, it's a no from me.

Indoors, yes. Outdoors no.

I fly with them only once in my Home after I bought my Tello. Than I take off this guard’s and didnt install them never again.

Ok, I'll be the odd man out here.

I've had my tello since November and only flown without the guards once... couldn't tell enough difference in flight characteristics for it to matter to me, so I put them back on... they really help save props with the bump-n-falls inside.

And just yesterday I was outside in a large pasture with the guards on, flying around in Sport mode like a madman.

IMO, Tello was plenty fast and plenty responsive. I had great fun!

Yes and why not. If they're available for the drone I use them. They will absorb some of the damage that could avoid damage to a prop, engine or other part of the drone.

without guards, the flight time increased to an average of 12.5 minutes and with the guards I arrived at 10 minutes

A side note...

there is language in proposed legislation that may mandate prop guards or shrouds that prevent lacerations by props should an accident occur. I'm hoping this either gets omitted completely or would only applied to drones over a particular weight...

Anyone who seeks approval of a means of compliance may establish, using test descriptions, results, and data, that a small unmanned aircraft does not contain any rotating parts that could cause lacerations of human skin. An industry consensus organization could develop a standard for small unmanned aircraft that have rotating parts that are protected by safety features, such as propeller guards. The standard could require testing to support the determination that the protective safety features accomplish their intended function of preventing rotating parts from contacting a person during an impact.

Indoors yes. Outdoors doesn't matter where I stay?. If I lose it here outdoors it's gone and I'm not going to look for it in the bushes with mambas crocodiles and hippos around. I had to escort an operator who's drone came second with a fish eagle on a movie set and landed in a swamp and promised myself never again. But tbh I like it outdoors without guards

Yes indoor, but outdoor. Since I use it to capture video footage or selfie pics, it's more stable and increase flight time.
