Out of the box my Tello flew upward and hit my ceiling so hard that a propeller stuck in the drywall. Ryze Repair replaced a major component under warranty. Now my Tello hops up about a foot then immediately lands with motors still running after given the “take off command” then repeats this process until it runs into something. Then it stops.. It does not respond to the “land” command during this “hopping” phase.
Back to Ryze for repair. A major component again failed. Since the Tello is now out of warranty, they want $91 dollars to fix it. Given the fact that it is the second major component to fail and I can purchase a new Tello for $99, I will not have them repair it.
This is a warning to others that the repair costs are not reasonable and although well engineered, the components of the Tello may be of suspect quality.

Well, certainly debunks the boiling frog principle...

Out of the box new? Exchange/refund under vendor's return policy?

Send it to me... I'll either fix it or 'mess' it up. PM me if you want my snailmail address

Ryze reports that the core board module needs to be replaced. Is this something you can do?
