WiFi booster?

Hey everyone,

I’m fairly new to drones ect but I’ve got the basic knowledge to understand the setting up, I am however not fully up to date with the WiFi boosters that everyone is talking about, can some explain how they work? Do I just plug it into my battery pack and play, or do I have to set it up through a laptop?
