Firmware 30m altitude limit??

I saw this under patch release notes on the DJI website, is this correct? I thought we had to get a app to get 30m altitude ? I’m new here so sorry if this is a stupid question! Getting my tello for Xmas and I can’t wait.

yes. but as you can see from the release date its very old news.

Thats why I am amazed that people still buy TALS and other programs.

The only caveat: You have to be connected to the drone or the alt slider won't be visible. Presumably becaus ethe app first checks if the firmware is at least version x before activating 30m altitude.

I was thinking the same but as I didn’t have my tello yet I couldn’t confirm it my self.
