Loss of tilt control during flight

Hi all, just got a tello for Christmas and must say really liking it for a small drone.
Issue i seem to have is that mid flight I lose the tilt controls (F,B,L,R) and my tello is at the mercy of the breeze. I can still rotate, or go up and down . I can also use land command (R2+Y) and it will eventually come down. I am not game yet to take it up to any height and risk it drifting away. Once its been landed I can take off again and everything is fine until I lose tilt again.

Anyone else have this issue?

normal only if there is an obstacle under Tello leaving less than say 1m clearance. The lower the worse the "loss of attitude" is.
Once the obstacle is gone Tello should be back to normal.

If that is not the case: get a replacement drone.

Thanks for the feedback. Had the chance today to fly in much more open area and it did not happen. Even tested going over trees within 1m and yes there is a small delay before before tello come back online again. Thankyou.
