Support for Galaxy S8 & S8 plus android phones?

I have a galaxy 8 plus android phone, but it connects only 1 out of 10 times...its very dodgy!...only my ipad 2017 will work fine....but cannot use game controllers or VR mode ....wondering if anyone has a workaround to get to use their galaxy 8 devices?!..

With Galaxy s8 I could connect only once to my Tello, afterwards it wouldn't connect, no matter what I did. Tried all sort of things, like clearing the app data, forgetting the wifi settings, but nothing worked.

Actually w the galaxy 8 plus i figured out work around...disable data and then try to connect..works for me...!!

Galaxy S8 here.
not had any connection issues, I've found for best results though, turn on airplane mode, then turn wifi on
