Not sure if I should post this somewhere else:
I finally got an answer, in the forum, to why my wired USB gamepad was not working with fpv in spite of working with the suggested gamepad tester android app. I had a version of Android (11 I think) that doesn't work. So I tried it on another phone that didn't have that version, and it worked.
Someone was asking about the possibility to save MAPPINGs. I was afraid it meant that the the app forgot the mapping when you exited. I was trying to see if I could find some CONFIG file that I could save and/or even edit but I could not find anything. Maybe that could be found if the phone was rooted. But thankfully the app remembers the mappings that were made. My gamepad is identified in the menu as Shanwan Android Game. Is that something that was in the app, or an ID that the gamepad broadcasted? Could it be possible to save some other mapping under the Microsoft x box , and Magicsee R1 entries in the dropdown and use with another gamepad?
Now I'm trying to figure out the remapping controller interface.

I never want to use the flip functions. 𝑪𝒂𝒏 𝑰 𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒇𝒂𝒖𝒍𝒕 𝒎𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒇𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒔?? DPad UP for example. How come that is still there for forward flip, in spite of my getting it to map to TAKEOFF?
I*m trying to prepare to use VR FPV. I was annoyed when trying to film something only using phone touch while in bright light and barely seeing anything. So I'm going to have the phone in a VR head holder. I was glad to see that I could even do some things in the app, at least while not flying, like open menu, go up & down, select options with the gamepad.
