Tello working ok with Ts1 controller but can't start it from Ts1

Hello all, I just purchased a Gamesir Ts1 controller for my Tello, it is working fine but for some reason I am unable to start Tello pulling down both controller sticks, 45 degrees in. Not a big deal since I can just start the drone from the FPV app but I would like to be able to accomplish it from the very controller. Am I doing anything wrong or missing something? Thanks.

Under Settings/ Controller/ Assign movements can be assigned to the sticks and buttons Tello see photo.
